The 2026 SummerSlam is the 39th annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. Scheduled as a two-night event on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, it features wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.
This marks the first WWE stadium show held in Minneapolis and the second SummerSlam in the city (following the 1999 event at the Target Center). It is also the first SummerSlam available on the ESPN streaming service in the United States. The card includes the WWE in-ring debut of Nick Aldis, his first match since October 2023 on the independent circuit.

Background
SummerSlam has been held annually in August by WWE since 1988 and is billed as “The Biggest Party of the Summer.” It ranks among WWE’s “Big Five” events—alongside WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank—and is widely regarded as the promotion’s second-largest show of the year behind WrestleMania.
The 39th edition was announced on May 23, 2024, as a two-night stadium event at U.S. Bank Stadium. It is the second SummerSlam to span two nights (and the first such event to be announced as such) and the first WWE stadium show in Minneapolis.
Broadcast
In addition to traditional pay-per-view worldwide, the event streams on ESPN in the United States, Netflix in most international markets, SuperSport in Sub-Saharan Africa, and Abema in Japan. This is the first SummerSlam on ESPN following the expiration of WWE’s Peacock contract after Clash in Paris in August 2025.
Audio coverage, hosted by Vic Joseph and Booker T, airs on the SiriusXM channel WWE Radio (formerly Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7), which relaunched in partnership with WWE shortly before the event.
