New Roommates! Manatees Move In For Some R&R!

This YouTube video was produced by the Georgia Aquarium.

Meet our newest (and squishiest) guests — rescued manatees!
These juveniles have come to the Georgia Aquarium as part of a special rehabilitation program through the Manatee Rescue and Rehabilitation Partnership (MRP) . Watch as they settle into their temporary home, snack on some leafy greens, and get the top-tier care they deserve!

Why are they here?
These manatees were rescued after being injured or orphaned and will stay with us until they’re strong enough to return to the wild. The MRP is a cooperative of aquariums, zoos, government agencies, NGOs and marine parks that rescue and respond to manatees in distress, rehabilitate them, release them back into Florida waters and monitor them. All manatee activities are conducted under USFWS permit MAPER0034017.
