Feeding the Dinosaurs of the Great Lakes: Lake Sturgeon!

Lake sturgeon are gentle bottom-feeding giants that can be more than 4 feet long. If you think they look prehistoric, you’re right—the species has been around since the days of the dinosaurs! That large item we put in the habitat at the beginning of the video has holes in it where they can suck up food like worms and small fish, tapping into their bottom-feeding natural behavior.
