MediaInfo is a freeware program that reads the specifications of both video and audio files.
First I am going to open a video file to show this for you.
Click OPEN; FILE;
now we will find a video file and open it.
Ok, here we can see some basic information, but we can see all the information displayed in a text file.
I am just going to go click VIEW;
you can also see it displays in html files, and sheets, and other files as well, but for the sake of this demonstration; I am going to use a text file.
I am going to click VIEW; TEXT; and here we can see all the information laid out in a text file.
For example, the width is 1920 by 1080; its width is 1920 and its height is 1080.
The display aspect ratio is 16:9. The frame rate is 23.976 frames per second.
And the scan type is progressive.
And you can see there is a lot of other information there as well.
Ugh, It’s a very neat program; it can even display infofmation for audio files.
Let’s click FILE; OPEN; FILE; and find an audio file; here’s one.
And we can see that there is a little bit of information for audio files as well.
For example, this; the duration is about 26 seconds.
It’s a really neat freeware program, you can download it for free. There’s a link to where you can download the program in the description for this video.
It’s currently a freeware program, but however the programmer does accept donations.
it’s; I find it a very interesting little program, if you find a video file that you don’t know the specifications of, if you don’t know its frame rate, or its scan type, or its dimension; you can use MediaInfo to display that in a text file.
I think it’s an awesome program, you should really consider downloading it. It’s currently a freeware program, but however the programmer does accept donations.
