Cascades Raptor Center
This osprey was only one of a number of birds we received at the Cascades Raptor Center this year entangled in fishing line. Though this one was lucky, some animals die or are so badly injured that they have to be euthanized. The banks of the water bodies around Eugene are riddled with discarded fishing tackle. So if you come across any during your walking, swimming or canoeing trips, think of the birds and collect it. Thank you!
